This isn’t just a workshop; it’s a chance to reset your creativity, rethink your process, and move forward with a fresh perspective. In this hands-on workshop, Lisa will guide you in sculpting a 3/4 size bust, focusing on the face and hands, incorporating metal, fabric-dipping techniques, and slip work. Russell will demonstrate how to create a lifelike animal using press and sprig molds, leading you through the process of adding personal expression. The finished pieces will form a dynamic dialogue between the bust and the animal, showcasing a range of creative techniques. The workshop takes place at the newly built Shape Theory Studio, which is open 24 hours during the event. Meals are on your own, but there are several nearby restaurants, and one catered dinner is included. If you’re flying in, your work can be fired and shipped. There are hotels, Airbnbs, and camping options nearby.

Cancellation Policy
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your spot. Final payment is due 14 days before the workshop. Your spot is not guaranteed until full payment is received. Cancellations made 30 or more days before the workshop will receive a refund minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance are non-refundable, unless we are able to fill your spot. If your spot is filled, you will receive a refund minus a $75 rebooking fee. If Shape Theory Ceramics cancels the workshop due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund.
