OUR STORY
A studio for community.
Shape Theory Ceramics began with the simple idea of creating a space where art and community intersect. Founded by passionate ceramicists, the studio has grown into a collaborative environment where both novice and experienced artists can find their voice in clay. Our mission is to make ceramics accessible to everyone, regardless of skill level or experience.
Our instructors are experienced ceramic artists, offering hands-on guidance that helps students develop technique, artistry, and confidence. But our mission goes beyond just teaching the craft—Shape Theory is about building a supportive community, a place where people can connect and create together.

Rachel Franco
My name is Rachel and I’m born and raised in Utah I’m attending southern Utah university working towards BFA with the emphasis in ceramics. I love working with clay I appreciate the rich history it holds and the way I can connect with the earthy material. I also love all the possibilities and techniques you can use to tell your story through clay.

Drew Liedtke is currently Assistant Professor of Art Education at Southern Utah University.
