Description

Come learn about throwing pottery on the wheel with instructor Drew Liedtke (SUU Art Ed professor). Come prepared to be messy! No experience necessary. If you do: Monday: First day on the wheel. If you produce more than a mess; awesome! If not, that's still cool. Tuesday: Trimming demo and more throwing practice. Wednesday: Trimming and throwing. Glazing demo. Thursday: Last day to make new things. Glazing. Friday: Glazing day! Drew Liedtke is currently Assistant Professor of Art Education at Southern Utah University. An arts educator since 2016, Drew says he's "taught every age from 4 to 40" as he formally was a PK-12 art instructor in rural Washington state as well as the Assistant Professor of Art Education at Central Washington University. Drew is a ceramic artist whose own work is an exploration of pottery and sculpture inspired by geology, architecture, and material science.
