Mug (Black over Persimmon)

I just started added the subtle "elbow" at the bottom of the handle for some ergonomic comfort and an interesting visual profile. The black and persimmon glazes are are interesting on their own, but together they, they're greater than their sum. Wax resist is used to interrupt the surface, and as the glaze pools at the edge of the wax it creates unexpected, organic patterns. Each mug in this series is generously sized so that you moring ritual lasts.
