Members, Bring a Guest

Guest Policy — Shape Theory Ceramics as of August 9/2026

We love when our members want to share the studio with someone else. Here's how it works:

One free guest visit per member, per month. Bring a friend, a partner, or your kid — anyone you'd like to introduce to clay.

Additional guests are $30 each, up to two per visit — every visit, even if it's the same guest coming back the next day. Beyond your one free visit per month, each time you bring a guest (or two) is its own $30-per-guest visit, regardless of who they are or how recently they were here.

This runs on the honor system. We're not tracking visits or checking IDs at the door; we trust our members to keep count and pay for extra guests when they bring them. That trust is a big part of what makes this a community studio instead of a transactional one.

Stopping by to say hello, wait for a friend, or peek at what someone's working on is always welcome — no guest pass needed. The guest policy is for people spending real time in the studio, working alongside a member.

A few ground rules:

• Guests must be accompanied by their member host at all times — this isn't a drop-off situation.
• Members are responsible for their guest's safety, conduct, and any damage caused during the visit.
• If you're bringing a guest onto the wheel or into any equipment, you're responsible for teaching them — please only do this if you're comfortable showing someone else the ropes.
• Kids must be 10 or older to use the pottery wheel.
• If your guest makes something they'd like fired, standard firing fees apply, billed to the member's account.
